Prepare for Work in Canada

Have you worked in your industry for two or more years? Are you approved for immigration to Canada or have already landed as a Canadian Permanent Resident? If you answered “yes,” the FAST Program can help assess your skills, compare them to those needed in Canada, and identify any gaps in knowledge or skills you may have.

FAST will effectively support you to enter the Canadian job market in a number of occupations in three sectors: skilled trades; information technology and data services; and biotechnology and life sciences.

The FAST – Prepare for Work in Canada module helps internationally trained individuals like you better prepare for work in your occupation or a related field in Canada.

Although you may have much of the knowledge and skills needed in your occupation, a better understanding of the Canadian workplace will enable you to be better prepared and help you adjust in a new work environment.
